Since the Zune’s launch in 2006, we’ve been waiting and waiting for the Redmond gods to grant Mac users access to the Zune. Now, Microsoft exec Oded Ran has tweeted that the holy day may soon be upon us.
According to Ran’s tweet, which has been removed, the real impetus behind this news is Windows Phone 7 support. As it turns out, Zune software is required for syncing with any WP7 device. Does Microsoft just want as many potential customers as possible for their upcoming WP7 release in November, or is this them keeping their enemies close?
