Apple has Lost Another 4th-Gen iPhone. This Time from Vietnam! [Video/Teardown]

A Vietnamese site named Taoviet has got hold of what looks like another “lost” next-gen iPhone prototype model from Apple. This model looks almost exactly like the one whichGizmodo got hold of earlier last month, except for the screws at the bottom, which seems to have been removed. Both iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS had similar screws with the speaker at the bottom. Also, this model has 16GB written on the backside compared to the one whichGizmodo got which had XXGB written on the back. Are we looking at the very final pre-production model of the new iPhone? probably yes!

Turning on the phone has revealed that it is running some sort of firmware diagnosticssoftware called “Inferno”, similar to what was seen earlier running on iPod touch 3Gprototypes.

Teardown of the phone has revealed that it features Apple-branded processor – a likely variant of A4 chip which has been used in iPad.

Apple is expected to unveil the next-generation iPhone for general availability at the annualWWDC 2010 conference on June 7iPhone OS 4 is also expected to be released at the same event.
