Syria bans iPhone in attempt silence citizens

Things are intense in Syria right now with the Assad government trying to censor its people with a ban on the iPhone.  The Syrian Finance Ministry has officially banned  the iPhone in an attempt to block it’s citizens from sharing any kind of videos and news of the on going protests and the very violent assaults on the innocent throughout the nation.  For those of you who havent kept up with the news, the foreign press has been pretty much banned from the nation since march. Because of this our news has been coming in through the citizens who have taken up journalism by means of social media. And as Syrians come to terms with the new economic sanctions against their country, the banning of the iPhone will just serve to make things worst.
